The Chapel
Step back in time and explore St. Peter's Chapel, a true treasure on Mare Island and the oldest naval chapel in the United States. Famous for its stunning Tiffany stained glass windows and rich history, the chapel offers a unique glimpse into the past. Open Chapel is the only time this historic site is open to the public, so don’t miss this rare opportunity! Our knowledgeable docents will be there to share fascinating stories and answer your questions. Getting to the Chapel
St. Peter's Chapel is located at 1181 Walnut Ave, Mare Island, CA. Enjoy free parking right in front of the chapel, as well as a parking lot conveniently located across the street. We look forward to your visit!
**ADA ACCESS - Please note that there is no ADA access to St. Peter’s Chapel, and there are steps leading into the Chapel. There is one step onto the altar and a couple more if you want to get close to the cross or to see the organ pipes.**
